Hundreds of audits
We have run hundreds of Google Ads account audits — here are the most common problems
- 01
Conversions set up incorrectly
In one out of every three ad accounts, conversions are not set up for contact forms, phone clicks, and orders — and without that, optimizing ads is impossible.
- 02
Unstructured campaigns
Without structure, optimizing ads is nearly impossible — structure simplifies account management and makes results transparent.
- 03
No ongoing changes
Unfortunately, you can’t set up ads once and get results for life — the market is highly dynamic, so you need to track performance and make changes at least once a week.
- 04
Too few negative keywords, or none at all
This is the most common issue we see in accounts — just don’t be lazy: open the search terms report and check whether they match your goals.
- 05
No remarketing
Whatever you advertise, you always need remarketing: you have to work with your own audience — it’s your most valuable one, since you already spent money acquiring it.
- 06
No call tracking
Calls aren’t linked to ads: it’s unclear which campaign and which query brought in the caller. Where most sales happen by phone, ads get optimized blind.
- 07
No offline conversions
Google Ads sees the lead but doesn’t know whether it became a sale. Without feeding sales data from the CRM back into ads, the algorithm learns to bring in leads, not buyers.
- 08
Inquiries go untracked
Leads from forms, messengers, and calls aren’t logged anywhere: how many inquiries came in and how many converted is unknown. That makes it impossible to calculate customer cost or ad ROI.
